Alan, how interesting to be reminded of songs that have content with so much meaning grounded in the reality of our human experience. The mind-numbing, limited dross we are subjected to today is indistinguishable from one artist to the other. These instantly forgettable ‘songs’ are laden with junk food hooks that try to latch into your mind, to make up for the vacuum of substance. Having recently picked up mandolin again, I am on the lookout for good meaningful songs to play. Thanks for helping that exploration.
