In response to Geoff Dench: The public backs full-time mothers. A pity politicians are blind to reality, David wrote:
This anti-biology and anti-common sense socialist dogma that men and women are identical pieces to be moved around a government’s tax-raising game board really must end. Of course both sexes are equal, and both sexes should be involved in nurturing and caring for their children and of course both sexes should be able to choose how they live.
But for thousands, if not millions, of years we have had some differentiation of roles between men and women. Given that a child is nurtured for nine months inside a mother’s womb and that she breast feeds that child, it is very clear that the mother is best placed to be the child’s immediate carer during its infancy. Moreover if she can be available to do that full time then that has to be the very best situation.
Only the deliberately blind will refuse to acknowledge that basic biological fact. I am really heartily sick of the obviously misguided brainwashing pumped out by the government and the mainstream media led by that awful organisation the BBC.
