I vividly remember the taxi driver being killed during the miners’ strike in Mid Glamorgan, when two striking miners dropped a concrete block from a footbridge onto his vehicle while he was driving a strike-breaking miner to work.

And I’ve never forgotten or forgiven the violent attacks on police horses.

I’ve always wondered how otherwise sensible men were taken in by Scargill, who didn’t give a stuff about them.
