The BBC needs to be broken up. It is politically dangerous for one provider to control so much of the broadcast news output. Lefties would be frothing at the mouth with rage if Murdoch had the same concentration as the BBC.
So if it is unacceptable for him to control 70+ per cent of broadcast news the same is true of the BBC.
We need much greater diversity of provision and thus much greater diversity in views. The BBC will hate it, so it is bound to be the right thing to do.
