It’s not even slightly controversial to state that the universities are hotbeds of Leftist indoctrination because it’s an indisputable fact that they are.
When I was at university, I took a compulsory module called ‘Equality and diversity’ which was exactly as much fun as it sounds. We were ‘taught’ ridiculous Left-wing propaganda such as genderqueer theory and intersectionality as though they were unquestionable facts. And unquestionable they were! Anyone who offered even a hint of disagreement was hectored and browbeaten into submission (‘Where did you learn that? I need to know where you got that so I can correct it’), and as I watched these unfortunates sink further into their chairs, I decided to keep my mouth shut for the year. There was a general air of menace and the idea of debate was just a non-starter.
Not all of my lectures were as horrible as that, but the lecturers were uniformly Leftist. The alternative point of view was rarely even considered. I have to say, though, that where I was able to engage in debate, I was shocked by the weakness of the other side’s arguments. I guess when you exist in that kind of rarefied environment in which your views are rarely challenged, your debating skills become atrophied.
