All you need to know is that the Left routinely describe the novel that describes the process of controlling thought, by controlling speech, as a “satire” when it is clearly a warning. Orwell knew what he was writing about, and knew who the enemy was – 1984 is, I believe, actually ‘about’ the BBC.
The Left have essentially seized control of the national conversation, and by doing so seek to control the national psyche.
