I’m also rather concerned about some of the things that Carswell and O’Flynn are saying, but I’m putting it down to political realism.
The doctrines of “tolerance” (Carswell) and “eat the rich” (O’Flynn) are not what I joined Ukip for, but it seems that having crossed the Rubicon in order to achieve popularity, the leadership have accepted that some bastardisation of the party’s principles is required.
I’m remaining a party member for the time-being, as my main reasons for joining (Farage and Nuttall) are still in place. I am watching closely though. We aren’t a party of clones, but if the Left of the party start to take over then I’ll have to reconsider my position.
