The male reaction has already started. My son and his mates (late 20s early 30s) now treat their female equivalents like my generation would never think of. They see the rubbish their fathers took in marital splits and now have no intention of marriage or any long-term relationship, whilst their female equivalents are now starting to panic as their “maternal” body clocks tick away, their previous assertiveness is getting them nowhere now.

Reminds me of the Fast Show sketches of the aggressive female getting what she wants then reverting to baby talk with her male partner to get what she wants from him. There are quite a few of my wife’s friends now with no male partner but four cats, that female assertive course their company sent them on has done them no favours whatsoever.
