In response to David Keighley: Time Lord Mardell’s Brexit baddies? No need for three guesses, ExFish wrote:
It gets worse: Leavers seem to have been marginalised by the BBC in the way that climate-change sceptics have been since ‘the science was settled’.
Outnumbered in news broadcast after news broadcast (as well as on the QT panel), leave voices are being drowned out. Last night JR-M was heavily outgunned – no wonder Maitlis said that as a leaver he was ‘out on his own’ – irony! – he would be in a BBC studio. He still had the best arguments though, not least that he wasn’t on his own – he ‘had 17.4million people on his side’.
And today, remainers are being lined up for their turn in front of the microphone – Hague, the awful on manoeuvres Amber Rudd, Cable, EU-loving senior civil servants. Then the most bizarre BBC question: ‘In their opposition to May’s deal, are Brexiteers sabotaging Brexit?’
Twice this morning I heard Beeboids offer warm words for the ‘deal’. If the BBC are in favour of it, it has to be bad . . . and against this nation’s interests.
