In response to Laura Perrins: Trump and the great American wave of resentment, barney mcgrew wrote:
The elite are in their own bubble, talk, meet and engage with each other and think that everyone else thinks the same. The whole of the elite detest Trump, they think for all his wealth he is common. He was never popular with the Manhattan elite, they despised him. By his own admission, the ordinary people, be they construction workers or whatever, loved him. So when the media say everyone hates him, they are talking among themselves again.
The ordinary people love him because he is doing something for them, listening to their problems and trying to stop the massive immigration problem for ordinary people. The elites make sure that they remain elite and detached from the ‘riff-raff’. The only immigrants they interact with are latter-day servants to their needs. So as they are making no real attempt to understand what happened, nothing will alter. They wouldn’t want it to anyway, as they are fine, in their own minds.
