Because the intention is not to reflect the real experiences of young women but instead to influence their behaviour away from life-long monogamous relationships.
This has been the stated intention of feminists from the outset and they have been very open about it. If a young woman’s preference for love over meaningless sex interferes with “progress” then she must be labelled as old-fashioned and shamed into joining the sexual free-for-all.
The damage to the individuals is immaterial. A cornerstone of the Left is the belief that the ends justify the means.
