What happens if no company wants to run the pub? You can’t compel someone to run a pub in a particular place and numerous pubs in far better locations have closed over the past few years. The council don’t seem to appreciate that companies run businesses to make a profit not to provide a service.
Perhaps the local council will have to run it, but why should the local council tax payers subsidise a non-profit pub? In any case, who in their right minds would use a council-run pub regardless of their sexual orientation. It could just remain as an empty, boarded up property.
