You may well be right Chris but it simply won’t happen for multiple reasons. Russia refuses to kowtow to the idea of a unipolar US-led world, as does China. Moreover Putin, probably for his own, patriotic political purposes, is encouraging Christianity and refusing to promote the LGBT etc agenda. He also refuses to genuflect at the altar of man-made global warming. For better or worse he is determined to keep Russia, Russian. For that the scheming, lying globalists of the West will never forgive him. Now Trump, with all his many faults is a supporter of the West, and is more prepared to, at least open a reasonable mutually beneficial dialogue – but then he’s his own man.
Whilst I don’t particularly like Putin or his methods, I do respect his love of his country, people and culture together with his support for traditional Christianity.
