I’m not a practising Christian, merely an agnostic who is a sympathetic bystander. However even I can see that Welby, and who knows how many others in the Anglican hierarchy, are at best agnostic and at worst atheist. I would imagine the Welby is almost certainly an atheist; probably also a Marxist. He probably sees Christ as a political figure, and Christianity as a sort of ancient Socialist movement, with the C of E as a sub branch of the Labour party.
