I can’t help but be struck by THE POPE referring to others as ‘elites’. It reminds me of the Guardian’s habit of referring to ‘the media’ as if they’re not part of it.
I suppose it’s all of a piece with ‘progressivism’ – everything is about me/us, but everything is somebody else’s fault.
