Reader’s Comment: Labour is a public sector bubble

In response to Paul T Horgan: Fear of Ukip fuels the Labour coup against Corbyn, Colkitto03 wrote:

The Labour Party resides in an echo chamber and has done for 30 years. It is dominated by people who have not worked in the private sector in their lives.

In Blair’s largest majority there was only a single individual who had served in the armed forces, for example.
Scotland shows what happens when you take your voters utterly for granted for a generation.

The rise of the SNP and Ukip are actually closely linked. They are different outcomes from the same problem. The Labour Party is now fighting a war on three fronts. Ukip, the SNP and the Tories are all queuing up to steal their lunch.

The question is ‘who does Labour represent any more?’
