A lot of violence is caused by status games men play (being evolved chimps). At the moment, women are not involved in these games; being universally seen as weak, they provide no status boost to a man who decides to beat one or even deliver a negative status hit: “is that your level of courage?”.
Pushing the narrative that women are as physically and psychologically capable of delivering and receiving violence as men gradually removes that cultural barrier. Providing girls with fake action movie role models now may enable real violence against them in 20 years’ time.
Actually, I believe this is already happening.
