It’s the combination of state welfare leading to widespread self-indulgence, a low birth rate resulting from contraception and abortion, an aged, selfish population, massive external debt, combined with the self-immolation of equality and PC, imposed by the leftist ruling elite that point to the imminence of complete collapse.
Everywhere you look, we have ceased to be able to do anything properly. If that is what you mean by ‘smelling the decay’, you don’t need to go to the Gare du Nord. Just visit Newcastle on Tyne and see the decay of a once proud regional industrial powerhouse into cheap shops, empty offices and hordes of people with no purpose other than self-amusement. Once the State’s largesse ceases the place will descend into third-world barbarity.
By the way, you were excellent on Question Time. I don’t know how you slipped through the net!
