Excellent piece Laura, I think you echo the genuine frustrations that many of us feel. The UK, indeed the western world, has descended into a twilight zone of insanity, as Al Murray might put it, ‘it’s bonkers mental’. Yet just when you think it can’t get any worse, suddenly it does. What can we, as sane people, do? Perhaps the relentless rain you speak of is a fitting metaphor to use in this instance. What was once a steady, irritating but laughable drizzle of Leftie lunacy encroaching upon our daily lives has become a torrent. Do we just grumble about it in a very British fashion, stay indoors and avoid getting wet, or do we grab our brollies, get out there and start making a difference?
