The trouble with the policy of brushing things under the carpet is that they don’t stay there. Bleeding heart Lefties may feel comforted by the ‘don’t look back in anger’ slogan, but many, many people reject this mantra. They are angry, and feel completely justified in being angry. And in the complete absence of any political leadership who is prepared to even discuss the problems with Islamic fundamentalism, trust in the political process is still further undermined.
