In response to Laura Perrins: A crisis like Brexit calls for unreasonable men and measures, David wrote:
All too often during my life, I have seen the “reasonable man on the Clapham Omnibus” pushed backwards by unreasonable types posing as reasonable ones. I mean what could be more unreasonable than abolishing one’s own nation by stealth, allowing ourselves to be governed, undemocratically in all but name, from afar, as part of an emerging foreign empire run for the benefit of the few ? If defeating this type of “reasonableness” requires unreasonable behaviour, then I am very happy continuing being very unreasonable indeed, wicked Brexit campaigner and Kipper that I am!
