This 50-second video shows what a group of young men (not all known to each other) will do to help a dog in great distress.
My point is that it is not an act of great heroism but an act of great kindness where very ordinary guys will unthinkingly put themselves at risk to save a dog.
What we do know is that in the scenario in the clip virtually all fit men would help. Quickly they work as a team, put together a basic strategy and don’t let their unfamiliarity stop them.
That is what men do.
