In response to Patrick Benham-Crosswell: I voted Brexit to free us from Brussels, not save the Tories, Oaknash wrote:
Common sense would dictate that after the unequivocal vote to leave the EU, the Tories should have elected a leader who believed in Brexit and would have dedicated themselves to getting the job done.
Instead we got a remainer as PM
who formed a remain-dominated Cabinet
who wasted two years
who undermined her own Ministers
who offered us a Brexit in name only
and now she is play-acting in a low-grade panto (with MSM support) trying to convince us she is ‘battling for Britain’ when in fact she told the ‘enemy’ our tactics and dispositions a long time ago and no doubt will serve us up with a pre-EU-approved, UK sell-out – nothing more. Whilst saying it is our ‘only hope’.
As you say, Patrick – none of us thought it would be easy but with a PM and a party who have gone out of their way to sell us down the river, a meaningful Brexit will never happen.
Those who have done so well out of the globalist EU will always tell us it is difficult and have done their level best to present this abusive relationship as some sort of marriage for life – where we constantly put up with black eyes saying ‘he’s a bastard but I love him.’
Pathetic – is this really what we as a nation been reduced to – unable even to walk out of a door?
We need a leader who will see this ‘Gordian knot’ for what it is: an illusionary restraint only – and in reality to cut it we need only a small sharp penknife.
What is for sure – that person will never come from the Tory party who now care only for themselves.
