In response to Angela Levin: I hope one day Harry and Meghan will realise the hurt they have caused,

Harry might demur, but seriously, Meghan? Pass up an opportunity to be the centre of attention on a TV show that would be seen all around the world, with soundbite extracts headlining every TV news channel? An opportunity to play the tragic victim/survivor/heroine of institutional racism and English class snobbery? You must be joking, Angela. In fact I would be amazed if the tech staff at the Oprah Winfrey show aren’t already involved in pre-production, choosing the sofas and designing the lighting plan even as we speak. I imagine the whole of the American mainstream media is positively salivating at the prospect, and someone like Meghan Markle, whose very existence is entirely in the gift of the media, will not be able to resist the opportunity. She needs the attention of the media like the computer I’m typing into needs electricity. Cut off the supply and it’s just a pile of silicone and plastic.
Contingency Plan B: Should it all go bottoms-up and her indiscretion blow up in her face, she will be then able to claim that the media bullied her into doing it, so yes, either way she will still be able to maintain that precious victim status.
