Peter Singer might want to be careful what he wishes for. If society ever reaches such a dystopic state that the right to life is based solely on the objective assessment of an individual’s “worth”, then he may want to reflect on the possibility that he himself might be considered a less than useful asset and be forcibly wheeled onto the euthanasia ward. Does he place so little value on life that he would willingly allow his own to be taken?
