It would free up police time, they say. Not a fat lot of police time is spent pursuing cannabis users.
For all the legalisers blather on about the war on drugs or police resources, their true motive is of course ‘We want cheaper, purer, and easier-to-source drugs’. Britain can’t cope with alcohol; how on earth does anyone imagine it would cope with floor-to-ceiling crack cocaine in Tesco.
