Reader’s Comment of the Day: Christians are persecuted in the Middle East

-

In response to Rev Julian Mann: Lord Weidenfeld’s story demonstrates God’s generosity, Politically__Incorrect wrote:

It is indeed a heartening story. I am grateful for his efforts to help Christians in the Middle East who are persecuted by Islamists, something our government doesn’t want to acknowledge.

The size of the Christian community in the Middle East has been halved over the past 100 years, largely due to displacement and violence.

Even now, it is said that no Christians are to be found among the hoards of refugees coming from Syria. The reason? They are intimidated and persecuted by Muslims in the refugee camps.
