A very good article, highlighting the many fronts of the BBC’s campaign, which was simply to deprive the Tories of a working majority to secure their own future.
They were no doubt emboldened by their success in 2010 when they ran the most massive “aren’t you just sick of them all – wouldn’t a hung parliament and nice centrist coalition be the best outcome”, with all their crudely rigged vox pops (charity worker, retired school teacher, single mum, not massively articulate local business woman). It was shameful and anti-democratic and the Tories should have called it out, but no. They love the BBC apparently. National treasure, world class, good value for money.
The bias has been beyond astonishing and everyone, even one’s labour friends, have noticed. If they don’t nail them this time, then they deserve what will be coming (i.e. 5 years of Sturgeon, Euro splits and benefits cuts shroud waving).
