In response to Kathy Gyngell: Hilton’s hypocrisy. How can this self-proclaimed defender of marriage cosy up to its nemesis Harman?, Mike Buchanan wrote:
Steve Hilton is very loyal to David Cameron – hardly surprising. How would we all have heard of Hilton, other than through his association with Cameron? I firmly believe we can take it as read that with Hilton declaring his deep admiration for Harriet Harman, Cameron feels the same way about her.
I’ve always been struck by how relaxed Cameron appears when talking one on one with Harman, e.g. when they’re walking side-by-side into the House of Commons. Harman is very rarely critical of Cameron, because he’s pursuing all the radical feminist agendas (including a lack of support for nuclear families) she was pursuing throughout the Labour administrations of 1997-2010.
