There are few politicians in Britain, the USA and especially the EU who are not selfish careerists, for whom pensioners are far more valuable than the mentally ill because they vote. There are fewer still with the courage and certainty of direction indicating a vocation. Among these I would number IDS, Gove, Hoey, (Gisela) Stuart, Farage and (maybe) Jeremy Hunt for trying to improve the NHS. I doubt that any PPE graduate was ever led by an unselfish vocation to do good.
