In response to Kathy Gyngell: A New Year resolution for Dave. Sam to lead a campaign to make marriage cool, Bonce wrote:
What will help traditional marriage is firstly if politicians stop bowing down to the cultural Marxists and come out and say that a traditional marriage is essential for happy and healthy children.
Secondly, to introduce a fairer system between men and women. The legal system is the number one cause of putting off men getting married these days. It actively discriminates against men – it does not force the mother to let the father see the child (and she can maliciously ignore the courts for years without any implications). It does not hold the women responsible for breaking a marriage down deliberately, and actually pays her out half of the man’s wealth regardless of how long they have been married.
If a women is shown to be at fault – then no free stuff should be given to her after the marriage breaks down. This helps the institution of marriage be seen as a life long commitment again because the women does not benefit from dumping a husband and taking half of his stuff and then getting him to pay for her afterwards, while she has another man starting to pay for her too.
When marriage was still popular among the working classes, there were also financial incentives from the government to getting married. These were small incentives but they were better than the alternative of being a single mother.
These days the benefits system pays you the highest amount if you are a single mother. It’s financially in the best interests for a mother to dump the father and become single unless the man is earning at least £40,000 per year.
There is no way that this is morally right. Its also been proven by numerous studies that the children of single mothers do worse in life on average across every single social indicator. We are making society a lot worse and the likes of Cameron are not a real caring Conservative because they refuse to address this issue- as they have no values. In fact his values were in implementing gay marriage as the EU told him to. He just does what he is told to by the EU.
