A common sense analysis of the ramblings of the out of touch hysterical Heseltine.
Perhaps he might like to consider that it has been his views and the views of those like him who have effectively disenfranchised the British people by a policy of deceit, dissembling and obfuscation. If anything Heseltine’s latest ramblings and disgraceful insulting of the British people are exactly the reason why a Ukip is needed.
In the absence of a counterbalance against those in Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat ranks who have betrayed the interests of the British people, there was an inevitability that something or somebody would rise up to grasp the mantle on their behalf. If it hadn’t been Ukip, then it would have been somebody else.
What the likes of Heseltine cannot understand is that to millions of people, Nigel Farage and Ukip are the last bulwark, their last hope. The thin purple line that has been drawn in the sand saying so far, and no further. Nigel may not be a King Arthur or a Francis Drake returned to save the nation, but he is acting in the best tradition of British stoicism, bloody mindedness, and a determination to right a wrong. Ukip is not just a political movement, it is a state of mind immune to the machinations of the shallow and superficial chancers that inhabit the corridors of power.
