Reader’s Comment of the Day: For Mr Almost Right’s sake, reform draconian divorce law

In response to Laura Keynes: Find Mr Almost Right and grab him, girls, Joe Average wrote:

It is too easy for married women to divorce and ‘trade up’.

Mr ‘Almost Right’ is therefore avoiding marriage, since it is far too easy (and common) for him to end up paying through the nose, through no fault of his own, when his wife decides ‘Almost’ isn’t good enough. So, generally speaking, only Mr ‘Pretty Poor, Really’ is out there dating.
Remove the draconian divorce law’s impacts on men, and Mr ‘Almost Right’ will start dating again.

You can’t have it all.
