All true. And you could add the hugging of huskies and hoodies, gay marriage and the climate change bollocks. All designed to appeal to Guardianistas—who will never vote Tory anyway.

But politics does not exist in a vacuum. If you don’t vote Tory (or Ukip), you won’t inch towards smaller government. You won’t even get a Lib Dem government. You will be blessed with an Ed Miliband government. This is not me being clever-dick—you can see this for yourself.

Does Cameron deserve a second term? Is that really the big question?

Isn’t it more important to ask: Will a Miliband government be good for our children and grandchildren? Or will it leave them with ever more debt, and further entrench welfare dependency?
