In response to Fox on Friday: The people’s revolt gathers pace, Bugle wrote:
In recent years we have seen the discrediting of just about every major institution in Britain: Parliament, the police, the DPP, the NHS, the BBC, the Environment Agency, major charities. The reason? Because all have behaved scandalously and the public have seen that they are corrupt and inept, and have become a racket for professional placemen, failed politicians, aspiring politicians and cronies. This is the elite you speak of: fixers, chancers and cheats. The EU is simply this on a grand scale.
That people put up with this is testament to the patience of the British and the fact that in times of political consensus they are denied any choice. If the electorate votes to stay in a widely discredited EU, it will be only be because the majority are afraid to do anything else. What an indictment.
