In response to Kathy Gyngell: Fifty Islamist terrorist atrocities in just over 10 years. How quickly we forget, authur wrote:
I’d say over sensitised: every act is followed by mass outpourings of emotion like it’s the end of the world, before being forgotten. The status quo returns and nothing is done about it. The people who let the terrorists in then blame everyone but themselves: the EDL, BNP, Britain First. If it’s extreme for these groups to say kick them all out, is it not an extremist view to say let them all in?
But I agree, people have short memories, anyone would think we hadn’t been bombed thousands of times by the IRA over the last 50 years. And what was the response of France to the 7/7 bombing in London? Did they sing God Save the Queen? Did they emblazon their public monuments with the Union Jack? Did their President express solidarity with us? Did they say maybe it’s time to shut the borders? No, they said we got what we deserved for going into Iraq.
