Reader’s Comment of the Day: Next stop Ofparent and goodbye to your kids

In response to Laura Perrins: Parenting classes are pointless if mothers are dragooned back to work, Nockian wrote:

Oh you can see it coming. The parental qualification. Beginning as a free short course provided at taxpayer’s expense and finally a four-year degree course at 9K a year, KerChing. Then we can have Ofparent and parental league tables. Parents can then be punished for not reaching the required standards and children would need to sit ‘good parent’ tests to ensure the parents are following the approved syllabus. Failure will be considered abuse, or neglect and the children taken away, while the parents are put into remedial status until considered fit.

Cameron said “we have a plan for you, from birth until death. Those who don’t…..will be helped”. Helped is such a funny word coming from state officials. Their only real tool is violence against property or person. Mostly it’s both at the same time. I suspect parenting classes are more of the same Conservative plan. The big society, one nation, fascist rubbish. It’s origins are in the same Fabian, eugenicist, authoritarian master plan that plagues the minds of the tormented simpleton.
