Reader’s Comment of the Day: The Dutch are waiting for us to pull down the Brussels house of cards

In response to Andrew Cadman: The EU is intrinsically Tory. So Dave will fight to stay a member of the ultimate gentleman’s club, Greychatter wrote:

Visiting our friends (of around 40 years) in Holland recently, discussing the EU, their opinion is exactly the same as this piece. The EU is a club for the political elite, who probably don’t pay any taxes on their salaries, and retired Eurocrats only pay about 8 per cent on their pensions, not the prevailing tax rate in their home country.
They in Holland are waiting for Britain to vote to leave the EU and bring down the whole corrupt mess down.
