Otherwise, why are they considering removing Tyson Fury from the Sports Personality of the Year shortlist merely because of something he said? It’s the same mindset that saw Tim Hunt unceremoniously cast aside and Germaine Greer (Germaine Greer for God’s sake!) no platformed.
The left pay lip service to free speech, only so long as it is their free speech. The BBC should be reminded that, once, it was settled science that the sun revolved around the world! There is no such thing as settled science – unless, of course, millions of pounds in grants and subsidy depend on it.
