You are absolutely right – authoritarianism is the price we pay in the UK for multiculturalism – and one of the first freedoms to go in an authoritarian environment is freedom of speech – this is mostly to protect those imported cultures who are alien to the idea of freedom speech and may find something someone said somewhere offensive.
The authoritarian political Left go along this ban on free speech because it enables them to cry foul (usually sexism, racism or some other ‘ism’ ) when someone has the audacity to question their extremely narrow-minded tyrannical and often very shaky views that usually don’t stand up to any scrutiny.
