In response to Nick Booth: A nightmare vision of Britain without Europe – Clegg speaks again, Bonce wrote:
The Liberal Democrats received something like 75 per cent of their funding from EU sources last year – the highest proportion of any political party. The Liberal Democrats are so pro EU because they are largely funded by the EU and many of their politicians (especially the few MPs that are left), have business dealings or personal financial interests in the EU.
The Liberal Democrats are not an independent political party representing British interests. They are an EU-funded party representing EU interests. So Clegg and the rest of them, have zero professional integrity, and as far as the EU is concerned have a serious conflict of interest which means anything they say should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
From a personal perspective, Clegg’s political party is not only largely funded by the EU but his wife’s firm receives all of their income from the Brussels gravy train. That is all of their household income as a direct result of the largesse of Brussels. Clegg even met his wife while working in Brussels, both of them working then in the EU machine
