Reader’s Comment of the Day: The next Tory leader will be a Brexiteer

In response to Cerberus: The public has seen through Dave’s flimsy Europe deal, Andy wrote:

If you want to lead the Tory Party you would be well advised to play a role in ‘Leave’. Even if Cameron wins his fake referendum the issue of the EU will remain toxic and to be associated with keeping the UK within it will doom any career.

The EU is bound to become a huge problem for the government and will become more unpopular, so why be seen as an EU man? Better to have fought and lost than be associated with a deal that is patently so dishonest it is embarrassing.
