Mez, you are doing TCW an injustice. It speaks for those men and women who have no voice in the normal sense – the ordinary mums and dads who are struggling to do their best in a state whose governing elite now looks down on them with a less than friendly eye.
Unlike many, I think this is not a new trend at all, but in fact is the resurfacing of attitudes once commonplace among the old aristocracy. This modern version of superior beings feel it is their job once more to remake the world, one in which they will gain privilege while the rest will have to do as they are told.
