Tim Hunt should tell UCL to stick their “reinstatement” where the sun don’t shine. Most universities, when the Endarkenment is made to end, will have to be shut down anyway. It will be sad to see UCL go, but they bowed to PC pressure in a very public and puritanical way and thus are tainted. There are other universities; we only need about 20 or 22 at a maximum, for the 75+ million people in these islands. UCL will make a very nice and well-placed London conference-centre, hotel and shopping-mall, all in some quite grand and imposing buildings, much nicer than the Trafford Centre; it’s well situated.
As to the BBC, it will have to be closed. It’s archives can be placed free and for ever in the British Library and its most valuable copyrights can be auctioned globally, for perhaps hundreds of millions, to be returned to taxpayers and licence-fee-payers. Its better staff will certainly be hired by others, especially good technicians and production crews. The leftopolitical public-pundits will just have to get jobs on The Guardian…if they can.
