Whining about trivia is a first-world problem. When there are no real problems in your day to overcome (like the Blitz, having to fly a Lancaster bomber tonight, walk three miles to find fresh water …) then it seems that human nature loves to fill the void by massively exaggerating whatever pathetic little problem it can find instead of just enjoying the fact that we live in a free country where health is good and there is no war.
Older people who have probably had a bit of struggle and strife in their life seem very keen to embrace and enjoy it; sad to say the little princes and princesses who have had it easy find it very difficult to enjoy their relatively pampered set of circumstances.
