In response to Craig Byers: The BBC’s smearing of Shaun Bailey, HerewardtheWoke wrote:
The arrogant liberal narrative of the BBC is that black people from the inner cities are victims. When they behave like victims, the BBC is all over them. The BBC is delighted when black people succeed – so long as it’s in the arts or sports, and so long as they continue to spout the narrative of unfairness. How they must hate Shaun Bailey, a working class lad made good, who is a true Tory and has said ‘The key wickedness that the Government has perpetrated is the idea that government can pay for everything. If you continually give people things and ask for nothing back you rob them of their will. People have to be involved in their own redemption.’ The BBC’s attitude is patronising, paternalistic and racist. They are mired in the bigotry of low expectations.
