In response to Laura Perrins: The Leftist destroyers

I am not convinced that we have the terminology right. To be on the left in socialist terms is a perfectly proper position to hold in that it opposes the excesses of corporate capitalism and is wary of the banking and financial attempts to order society to fit their interests. Such a view does not suggest that the capitalist view is anything other than mistaken.
What we are talking about is the progressive world view which seems to me to be quite different. It is an attempt to reorder reality itself and create a world that conforms to a template that the progressive believes to be the only one permissible in this world. For now and all time.
Hence those of us that oppose this are demonised as heretics and become legitimate targets for destruction. In fact the progressive must do so to usher in the new world.
This means that all aspects of our lives on this earth must conform to whatever unreal fantasy the progressive dreams up.
The French Revolution was a warning of what this leads to. St Just defended mass executions on the grounds that it was actually merciful as those killed would not want to live in the new France. We seem as a species to be vulnerable to this and throughout history it has caused endless deaths.
We seem to be approaching another age where this will surface again.
