I agree with you entirely. However, be cautious. The little Stasi nark Eaton hasn’t really ‘destroyed’ Scruton. That flatters him too much. He has, with the aid of this spineless Vichy government of ours, certainly embarrassed him. But in the great scheme of things, Scruton, his books, his thought and his proper reputation, are all still in place. No one who visits and reads this excellent website is going to be turned away from Scruton or conservatism by the lies of a nasty little communist thug like Eaton. Not one sentient conservative would give his grubby little piece the time of day. Sadly it may impact upon the young, and the gullible, though I suspect most of them are already in thrall to the lies of the left. The sordid little episode does remind us however that we conservatives are at war in this country with an odious Marxoid establishment who will take no prisoners, and we must clearly regard them as our sworn enemy to whom we must in turn give no quarter, if this country is to maintain any form of democracy or freedom in the decades ahead.
