In response to David Keighley: Leftist, anti-British, anti-capitalist and corrupt – why is Oxfam getting millions from a Tory government?, Malcolm Marchesi wrote:
I, in common with many other people, gave up donating to Oxfam years ago, being disappointed by their overtly political stance and the hypocrisy of their senior staff. Compare their salaries and expenses with other charities. Cafod’s director gets about £87,000 pa, a reasonable amount, but truly humbling is the salary of the Salvation Army director. About £10,500 plus a ‘tied house’. It really does shame the other fat cats, or it would if they had any shame.
