I remember being shocked on first hearing a young man say that he expected his wife to work outside the home while they raised a family.
‘I’m not keeping her,’ he said.
I thought, he’s not fit to be a father but she (my daughter) married him anyway and 15 years later it’s working out okay as we help raise our grandchildren.
